Just cannoit get this right.
Laptop:- If I just plug it in it does work but the sound is in patches, like a loop, and is unintelligible

On PC:- If I plug in, nothing, but if I initialize it the Computer freezes. Download software from disc and whenever I try any modes it either does not work or gets a picture and promptly freezes machine.

I mainly intend using it on the laptop so want that to be fixed but just do not know where to start. I have tried it all ways I can think. Contacted Trust.com but as yet no replies.

Did you plug the camera in before you ran the install on the CD. Windows will sometimes detect a new piece of hardware is plugged in an load its own drivers which are usually the wrong ones. Also check on the Trust website for the latest drivers for your camera and version of Windows.
