When I try to download anything in Firefox, it all appears to be working and it says "All files downloaded" but nothing is there. I only get the option to save the file, not to run it. If I use Internet Explorer, everything works perfectly. I have experienced this problem several times.

I have exactly the same experience with Firefox , solution seems to be to dump it and go back to IE . Firefox will not download Malwarebytes or superantispyware and will not run the file.

Check the folder where Firefox is downloading to. I created a special folder and directed the Firefox downloader to always save stuff there. Under 'tools' 'options' 'main' you will find the necessary options.

I looked and sure enough, there is already a folder called 'downloads' and Firefox has been using it, because everything I thought I hadn't got, is all in there! Cheers. Geoff
