Can you advise?
I have two problems, maybe related?
I have a wired to usb optical mouse which keeps freezing. Sometimes works for a couple of days, sometimes stops 6 times a day. Thought at first was bad connection but am now sure it only restarts after unplugging then plugging in again!
Second problem, I have memory stick and now suddenly every time I plug in everything freezes? Stick still functions OK on other computers. Any ideas appreciated.
Keep it simple please, I`m not a computer whiz!!

Hi Paul. I've seen this before and it could either be hardware or software. Try all of the ports to see if any do work OK. Also look in the error logs to see if there any relating to USB etc. (go to 'start' 'run' and type eventvwr)

Thanks for advise. Tried other ports but same result.
Then checked error logs but nothing about USB or anything reported for last 4 hours.To recap, mouse randomly freezes, fixed by unplugging and replugging. Always freezes when memory stick inserted, fixed by same procedure after removing stick. Stick no problem with other computers.
Any more ideas?
