I have read your RTN column with gr8 pleasure.
Since I have downloaded IE 8 Beta some months ago, I can't:
Upgrade to a newer version
Do MS updates
Remove IE 8 Beta (I am now using Firefox)
Delete programs like Nokia PC Suite (The message reads: "Can't access Windows Installer Service"
Can't update ITunes.
