I have a laptop which is connected to my Edimax wireless router, I now have a desktop upstairs and have purchased a WiFi USB Adapter which despite following all the instructions just cannot get it to connect to my wireless router - any suggestions please?

How far do you get Elaine? Do you get asked for the wifi security code? Can you browse for available networks and see your one?

Yes I have browsed for available networks and found mine but when it tries to connect it says there is limited or no connectivity. The other thing I noticed whilst trying to connect to my existing wireless address is that the connection on my laptop then seems to freeze and I'm having to reboot!

I've even moved the desktop downstairs just incase it was out of range but still no joy - and I thought all I had to do was run the install disk for the wife adapter, plug in the stick and away I went!!
